Charlotte fine art wedding photography. December 12, Hi there! Stay a while and say hello! Madison and Tim both graduated from N.
State University, so it was natural to have their first look at the bell tower, right before being married. At the reception, wolf mascots danced with the couple and their guests, and an N. State ice sculpture was a show-stopping surprise even to Tim and Madison. As a wedding photographer, I meet and interact with so many bridesmaids every season. But Madison stood out and was someone I remembered.
Her smile, laugh and willingness to help on the wedding day went above and beyond. She was funny and I enjoyed photographing the whole group even more because of her.
You can imagine how excited I was when Madison emailed me so excited that she and Tim were engaged…and she wanted ME to photograph her wedding! Many, many laughs later we were at the wedding day. Side note: Winter wedding days are especially perfect for those of us that hate sweating.
Madison hates being hot and so the cool crisp weather of December was perfect! Your email address will not be published.

My wife and I spent the weekend in Raleigh and this was a I would recommend that all go the JC Raulston Aboretum during each of the seasons. The winter season is especially inviting to get ideas for the home gardners in the very short winter months of NC. The trails are organized to keep a group moving aong the paths, good signage most of the time, interesting Poison Garden with poisionous plants Several different landscape environments. Great for a stroll, a learning lesson, for photography, or looking for that plant that you need in that almost done garden.
Each season is different and has something to offer. This is a pretty small arboretum, but plan on at least a couple of hours to really explore it.
With lots of nooks and crannies and meandering paths, it's a lovely place full of surprises. My favorite place any time of the year is the Japanese garden. Keep in mind that the parking lot is small and you might need to park along the street and walk a little bit.
It's worth it though!Orca books hi lo
This place has been a favorite of my husband and I ever since our daughter came to the area NC State over 12 years ago. I have even used it as a place to just sit and either read or even have done some crocheting! They have a couple of places one can sit and feel out of the way. Did I mention it is also free? A must see in any season! Very nice walkways, flowers obviously prettier in spring and summer, but still interesting plants, a very interesting looking restroom, Japanese garden, and wall of water.

Bull, the mascot of the Durham Bulls. Then when he reaches the end, we'll transport him back to Saint Mary's School where he'll be there to sign autographs and interact with the fans.
Since a winter wonderland would not be complete without the snow, there will be plenty of that on hand as well. A "snow" fall will be located near the entrance to the event and near Santa's station. Snow will also be used for sledding and in a play area.
Participants will also have the opportunity to purchase food from food trucks that will be parked at Saint Mary's School, and their menus will include gourmet baked potatoes, chopped chicken barbeque and desserts.
After televising and being apart of the Raleigh Christmas parade for 45 years, WRAL noticed that families did not have many options for fun events to participate in before leaving downtown. Davis said the station hasn't decided whether to make the Winter Wonderland an annual event, but he hopes that it will turn into an annual tradition. It may not be the real thing, but it's good enough to provide an escape, part of a winter-like wonderland created by Egger's Ice Cream Shop on the grounds of Historic Richmondtown. Customers can make their own hot chocolate or ice cream sundae, and decorate cookies or brownies.
Let's get away from the computers. Let's not work from home. And let's come here,'" said owner Danielle Raleigh. EST Updated November 16, p. Durham, N. With cold winter weather on its way to the Triangle, one Durham business has gotten creative to keep customers coming. Unscripted Hotel has redone its popular rooftop in Durham especially for social distance. The hotel hopes the winter wonderland experience will draw customers during the winter months.
The business took a hit during the pandemic but, like most, has learned how to pivot with creativity. The six igloos spread out on the patio are meant to isolate guests from other groups while also keeping them warm. They can fit up to 10 people safely and have windows for air ventilation. We sanitize them. We have electrostatic sprayers. With the pandemic showing no signs of slowing down, some who are just learning about this concept are excited to see what it will bring to the area. The igloos can be reserved online.
Guests will be asked to review and follow all CDC guidelines when visiting the hotel. Published: Updated: Tags: downtown Durhamhotelscoronavirus economycoronavirus.Winter wonderland with relaxing piano music (Smart TV background video)
The business began launching the igloos about a month ago, just a few at a time. They are all available now for use until March of next year. Close Comments. Our commenting policy has changed. Popular Recommended Video. It was a great experience but definitely overpriced.
I expected more of a presentation on the drinks and meals. However, I understand that the igloo was what we paid for!
Definitely wish it was 3 hours. The igloos are such a special treat for the area! From comfortable couches to a heater and even a bluetooth speaker, they thought of it all! For food, you have to try the gyoza and croquettes they are both delicious. Our server, Matt, was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. He made us feel like royalty. Everything about this was Amazing!!!
Celebrated a Birthday here and the whole party had a great time! The only con was having 9 people in one igloo and having to eat on our laps; it was a tad crowded in there.
Other than that, the food, service, price, ambiance, and scenery were superb. I hope they have similar safe event options in the spring and summer, and being the igloos back next year.
We ordered the crab cakes, potato croquettes, gyoza, pasta, burger, and fries. The Frose drink was the absolute best; everyone had one some two of those. If you get a chance, book!
We loved our meal at the Igloo. The food is really quite good, the drinks superb, and the service friendly and professional. The igloos are quite warm, even on a cold winter day.
Our only issue was that we were informed about one per person minimum when we booked, and then told something completely different upon arrival. Our waitress Tamryn was soooo great!!!
She was friendly and helpful and gave us plenty suggestions. The crab cake was amazing and so was the guacamole. Glad I was able to enjoy the Igloos at Unscripted Durham. It was a moment to remember with friends. We went the day after Christmas and unfortunately it was really cold that night.
It could have been warmer in the igloo but I understand it was unusually cold. I got the bacon wrapped chicken and it came raw. That was disappointing.!!
